U.S. coin designs are works of the U.S. Government and are in the public domain (17 U.S.C. § 105). Photographs can carry their own rights, so we use only photos that are public domain or openly licensed, and we list every one here. Retrieved 2026-10-23.

Photos marked CC BY-SA 3.0 US are by Lost Dutchman Rare Coins and are used under that license. Our cropped, masked versions of those photos are shared under the same license (CC BY-SA 3.0 US). Grades are not stated by any source and none is implied. Elsewhere on the site, wear-grade comparisons are illustrative renders, not certified coins.
